About The Blog
The Roots
The idea of She Said A Word (SAW) was conceived in the fall of 2017, a time where life was rough for me. I was going through another setback and felt that I would never get what I wanted out of life. Honestly, it was one of my lowest points. During that trial, I began to pray and seek God. I fasted and began to write. After a while, I realized that I essentially wrote blog posts, but on paper, and began to think about actually creating the blog. Fear kept me from starting, but in 2020 the blog materialized and was born.
After breaking out of fear and stepping out on faith, here is my baby. Curated from love, self-reflection, vulnerability, truth, and the direction of God, SAW is a space to point us to God and glorify Him above all. Some posts will be new and others old, but you will never know because a true WORD withstands the test of time. Take a look around and see the words shared. I pray that you enjoy it, are uplifted by the content, and reflect on God and His goodness.

The 'She' Behind She Said A Word
Now that you know a little about SAW and how it came about, allow me to introduce myself. I’m Kiley, or Khi. Hey, yall! I’m a woman with a heart for God who is dedicated to rising above the situations that life has thrown my way. Fighting against the internal and external obstacles, so that I will walk out my God-given purpose in life and becoming all He has called me to be. I create. I’m a creative, made in the image of the Creator. I claim it! Once upon a time I rejected that notion even though I would create, keeping those things between me, God, and a few others. This blog is evidence of me stepping out and in my purpose and letting the world know. Gifts and experiences are meant to be shared, right?
A few more things about me: I’m a lover of God, music, poetry, love, laughter, helping others, and maternal child health. All of which may or may not come out in posts. I hope you enjoyed this brief introduction and will join me on this journey as I spread love, light, and insight through the words that I write.
